It’s Jenine writing in from Toronto where we just had our first snowfall for the season ❅
It’s that time of the year where the days are shorter, darker, and colder- making it 10x harder to get out of bed in the mornings.
If you’ve been hitting that snooze button a bit more than usual lately, then I’ve got a super simple hack to make your mornings a little brighter.
When your alarm goes off in the mornings, ask yourself these two questions:
What are 5 things that I’m grateful for?
What are 3 little things that I’m looking forward to today?
For the second question, you might be wondering why they have to be little things.
Because doing this gets you into the habit of enjoying the simple pleasures and finding the beauty in your everyday life.
"But what if I can’t think of anything that I'm looking forward to?" Then make something up. That’s the beauty of it being small. You should be able to think of and fit three simple pleasures into your day.
Up For a Challenge?
Try asking these two questions as part of your morning routine for the next 7 days.
I recommend setting your alarm 5 minutes earlier so that you don’t feel rushed. It'll also be helpful to put a reminder in your phone so you don’t forget.
That's it for today.
Until next week,
